Original Polychromo and pastel - 'Hettie and the Wise Old Owl - finished illustration of Hettie version 1'

'Hettie and the wise old owl' Is an artwork by Dave H in his children's book development 'Hettie and the Poppy', this one featuring Hettie with Owl in his tree.

The final version will appear in the book with the following lines:

So Hettie found the Wise Old Owl, And told him what was wrong,

“Ah, I understand,” he hooted, “I'm pleased you came along.”

This piece was an earlier version of the one that will be included in the book. After discussions with publishers, Dave decided to re-style Hettie to make her more appealing to his target audience. This meant eventually 'softening' the spines to make her appear more 'cuddly'. He also further exaggerating the features, to relate better with a younger demographic. 

This is an original A3 sized polychromo and pastel on card. It comes unframed,  but mounted in an acid-free mount 16" x 12", which is a standard frame size,  allowing for off the shelf framing.

The piece comes with a signed 'collectors note', explaining it's relevance to the development of the final book project.
