Original Painting 144 - 'You're missing the fireworks Daddy'
£0.00
'You're missing the fireworks Daddy' is a painting by Dave H which depicts the figures of a father crouching on the ground, hands over his ears, with his young daughter trying to get his attention with fireworks going off in the background.
It was painted after numerous requests from his followers for Dave to paint something PTSD related. He was struggling to come up with something that could portray a 'hidden illness' and then during a conversation with an elderly aunt she mentioned that she hated thunder as it took her straight back to the Blitz, when she was bombed out of her home as a child. Dave told her he felt the same about fireworks as the noise took him straight back to the nightly mortar and rocket bombardments he experienced in Iraq. Dave was diagnosed with PTSD after being injured and thought that this was a great way to put it into a visual piece of art.
It is an original acrylic on A3 220gsm canvas paper, unframed but A3 is a standard frame size - allowing 'off the shelf' framing.
The price includes UK/BFPO P&P. International postage is also possible, at cost to the customer, but please contact us for the costs prior to purchasing.
