'Only some made it home' depicts a scene of a stretcher party carrying a wounded soldier with a spitfire above during WW2. Painted as a commission for a customer who had an uncle who was a stretcher bearer and another who was a spitfire pilot.

Painted in Dave's distinctive style of figures in silhouette and a splash of colour - in this instance the colour in the flag and the poppy flowers.

This original painting is acrylic on board and decoupage, 40cm x 30cm and presented in a 3D box frame.
