Another of Dave's 'National Treasures' series of paintings, taking a look at the in-Pensioners of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

'Poppy Shower' is painted in Dave's easily recognisable style, featuring a chelsea Pensioner, resplendent in his tricorn hat and scarlet coat, stood amidst the poppy petals as they fall. This painting was another inspired by the 'poppy drop' which ends the festival of remembrance each year, with poppy petals floating down onto those attending.
