'Cloud puncher' is another of Dave's popular silhouetted paintings, this one featuring a rapier missile system, the operators of which were known in military circles as cloud punchers - hence the name.
It is painted in his easily recognisable style with muted backgrounds contrasting with a splash of virbant colour, in this instance provided by the bright crimson of the poppy flower.
It is an original acrylic painting on A3 220gsm canvas paper, unframed but mounted in a 18" x 14" white-cored black mount - which is a standard frame size, allowing 'off the shelf' framing.
